Mask Requirements

Effective Monday, April 3, 2023, masks are no longer required in ARMC's healthcare settings (except in outbreak situations) for all persons, regardless of vaccination status. Additionally:

  • Healthcare personnel (HCP) may continue to wear a hospital-grade face mask or a voluntary use N95 particulate respirator (PR) for source control as a personal preference.
  • Use of a hospital grade face mask is highly recommended if you have respiratory symptoms to prevent the spread of respiratory-like illnesses.
  • Individuals with significant exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should wear a hospital grade face mask for 10 days.
  • There has been no change to mandatory masking for HCP who decline influenza vaccination during flu season.
  • There has been no change regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when caring for patients per Standard and Transmission Based Precautions.
