About Dr. Ahmad

Eman Ahmad, M.D., attended the University of California, Davis where she received a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology Physiology and Behaviors. Later, she gained a global perspective on the practice of medicine through a medical program involving a partnership between Northumbria University in England and St. Georges University. She earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences with honors, and a Doctor of Medicine degree. After medical school, she chose a career in primary care. She completed her residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in the Family Medicine Program. During that time, she noticed a shortage in comprehensive care, individualized care, and psychosocial support for the geriatric community.

This led her to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at New York University Winthrop. During her fellowship, she received training in geriatric hospital, outpatient medicine, hospice care, and palliative care. She is now a physician with the Family Medicine Department at ARMC, where she has established a Geriatric Clinic at the McKee Family Health Center in hopes to make a difference in the community. Her interests include dementia, polypharmacy, preventive care, and psychological disorders associated with aging.
