About Dr. Mitchell

The Department of Surgery is pleased to announce the addition of a new Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Brianne T. Mitchell, MD, who will be revitalizing the specialty of reconstructive surgery at ARMC.

Dr. Mitchell graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine with a MD Degree. Her interest in Plastic Surgery flourished as she conducted clinical research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Plastic Surgery Research Fellow and continued as she completed her General Surgery residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers University in New Jersey, and her Plastic Surgery Residency at Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Mitchell joins ARMC after completing her Microsurgery Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in July 2023. Dr. Mitchell received numerous awards during her training.

Her goal is to address patient care needs through a focus on burn reconstruction, breast reconstruction, lower extremity soft tissue coverage for trauma through local tissue flaps and free tissue flaps, and reconstruction after cancer surgery at ARMC.
