Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) is a therapeutic treatment used to help heal wounds of various origins by increasing oxygen delivery to tissue. It can also help with the formation of new blood vessels and help the body fight infections. Our Physicians and staff at the ARMC Wound Care Services are trained and certified in the use of HBO. Each treatment is approximately two hours long and patients may watch television or DVD’s. Some patients prefer to sleep during their treatment.

In order to have this specialized treatment, you must first be assessed in the ARMC Wound Clinic.
