About Dr. Ahamba
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of David C. Ahamba, MD, MPH, as the new Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Ahamba joins ARMC from Loma Linda University, where he served as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer at SAC Health in San Bernardino. In this role, he oversaw the primary care departments, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics/Gynecology, covering both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Dr. Ahamba made significant improvements in primary care services, patient satisfaction, quality improvement, and clinical protocol development.
Dr. Ahamba has held various key positions throughout his career, including Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and leadership roles in various clinical committees. His dedication to medical education and continuous quality improvement is reflected in his numerous publications, presentations, and awards.
Dr. Ahamba completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and earned a Master of Public Health from the University of North Texas in Fort Worth, graduating with honors. He holds a medical degree from Abia State University School of Medicine in Uturu, Nigeria.
