ARMC Partners with Cordico to Provide Wellness App to Employees

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) has launched a customized, confidential wellness mobile application that will be available to ARMC employees and their families to proactively address mental and physical wellness among healthcare professionals.

Mental and physical well-being is essential for healthcare providers. Those working in healthcare are exposed to traumatic incidents at much higher rates than the general population, making healthcare professionals more susceptible to mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and suicide.Powered by Cordico, the leader in wellness technology for public servants, the new wellness app includes a wellness toolkit addressing 60 behavioral health topics such as fatigue, suicide prevention and alcohol abuse, mental health self-assessments, videos and guides on yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition as well as resources for finding local therapists specializing in treating healthcare professionals.

Employees and their family members will have confidential, 24/7 access to the app to ensure they have the resources they need in their most difficult moments – on or off the clock. “No one should ever feel blocked from accessing help at times of need due to their schedule or location or concerns about confidentiality, and that is especially true of our public servants who dedicate their professional lives to responding to others’ emergencies,” says Cordico founder and president Dr. David Black.

ARMC will utilize this technology to help employees build resilience and avoid the negative long-term effects of high job-related stress.

“Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is proud to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our employees, their families, and the community,” says William Gilbert, Hospital Director, “We want to lead in reshaping the stigma regarding mental health and wellness and leveraging this technology helps us do so in a way that works for our organization.”
