ARMC Recognized for Sustained Excellence in Substance Use Disorder Care

ARMC is among 41 California hospitals achieving the highest performance level for two consecutive years

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) has been recognized on Cal Hospital Compare’s 2026 Healthcare Organizations Leading Substance Use Disorder Care Honor Roll, earning distinction among 41 hospitals statewide that achieved the highest level of performance for two consecutive years.

The recognition, recently announced by the California Health and Human Services Agency and Cal Hospital Compare, highlights ARMC’s efforts to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for people with substance use disorders.

The voluntary program evaluates hospital practices through a self-assessment covering safe opioid use, identification and treatment of substance use disorder, overdose prevention, stigma reduction, and engagement of patients and families in care decisions.

Of 119 participating California hospitals, 87 earned recognition in one or more performance and improvement categories. ARMC’s consecutive-year distinction highlights its sustained focus on strengthening care for patients affected by substance use disorder.
