Becker’s Hospital Review recently named Andrea L. Daugherty, Chief Information and Digital Transformation Officer at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), as one of its 2026 Hospital and Health System Chief Transformation Officers to Know.
Daugherty, who joined ARMC in early 2026, became the hospital’s inaugural chief information and digital transformation officer and is the first executive in the organization’s history to lead ARMC’s enterprise digital and information strategy. Daugherty focuses on six domains: clinical applications, informatics, infrastructure, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and health information management. She is also responsible for consolidating three previously separate departments into a single integrated function and for setting its strategy, governance, and operating model.
“Andrea’s recognition by Becker’s reflects the leadership she brings to a role that touches every part of our hospital,” said Andrew Goldfrach, FACHE, chief executive officer of ARMC. “Her work to bring our technology teams together and focus digital investments on patient care will help us serve our community more effectively.”
Chief transformation officers set the direction, design the roadmap, and inspire their teams to embrace continuous innovation. Daugherty brings those same principles to her role at ARMC, where she applies a “Four Returns” discipline requiring every technology investment to deliver measurable value across mission, investment, sustainability, and experience. Her priorities include ambient listening technology for physicians and modernized telehealth to expand access for patients in rural and underserved communities. Under Daugherty’s leadership, ARMC’s digital transformation will be both meaningful and enduring.
Before joining ARMC, Daugherty served as inaugural head of digital health at SHI International, CIO at Dell Medical School at UT Austin, and director of security and innovation at Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System. She has served as treasurer of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society Central Texas, on the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives board, and as a founding board member of Inspire CIO’s Central Texas chapter.
