Jibong Lei, DPM

About Dr. Lei

Dr. Lei is a California native. He earned his undergraduate degree at University of California Berkeley and his medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences. He completed a podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. Dr. Lei furthered his specialty training with a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in Southern California. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Lei is excited to return home to practice medicine in the community he grew up in. His practice philosophy consists of compassionate, comprehensive and thoughtful care. He understands and believes in the importance of preventative and conservative care. Dr. Lei believes in a multifaceted approach to treatment, utilizing appropriate nonsurgical, regenerative, and surgical options to get the best outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Lei has extensive experience in a wide range of foot and ankle problems. He has in-depth knowledge on custom made functional foot and ankle orthoses. In addition to treating common foot and ankle issue such as bunions, hammer toes, and heel pain, he has special expertise in wound care, limb salvage, fractures, and sports injuries. Dr. Lei’s areas of professional interests include ankle arthroscopy, osteochondral lesions of the talus, lateral ankle stabilization, and foot and ankle reconstruction.
