ARMC Welcomes New Hospital Strategy Officer

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is excited to welcome Cesar Rivas-Sanchez to its leadership team. Rivas-Sanchez serves as ARMC’s Strategy and Business Development Officer, a role he has held since August. Working closely with the hospital’s leadership team, Rivas-Sanchez is charting the path for ARMC’s future growth.

Under his leadership, ARMC’s newly developed Office of Strategic Planning and Special Projects will oversee the hospital’s strategic planning, new service line development, legislative matters, and physician contracting initiatives. ARMC also plans to implement new data science initiatives in the future to aid in the hospital’s strategic decision-making, which will be spearheaded by Rivas-Sanchez’s office as well.

Rivas-Sanchez is a seasoned healthcare strategist who comes to ARMC with a strong background of experience and education. Prior to joining ARMC’s team, he spent several years at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals, as a senior strategy consultant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies from the University of Southern California (USC) as well as a master’s degree in Health Administration from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. A native of the Inland Empire, he looks forward to helping ARMC in its mission of being “The Heart of a Healthy Community™” for San Bernardino, the Inland Empire, and Southern California as a whole.
