Advanced Minimally Invasive Bile Duct Surgery

Advanced Minimally Invasive Bile Duct GallbladderBile duct stone, choledocholithiasis, is one of the common complications of gallbladder stones. Traditionally, performing Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP) prior to gallbladder surgery is the preferred method to clear the bile duct. However, this will require another procedure, anesthesia session, and additional hospital stay with risk of potential complications associated with ERCP such as pancreatitis.

With recent advances in bile duct surgery technology, both procedures of “gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy)” and “clearance of the duct” can be performed in one session with Spyglass technology. Advanced Minimally Invasive Bile Duct Surgery Endoscope
